This Privacy Policy applies to the Nota mobile application (available on iOS and Android), developed and operated by Fossicking ("we", "us", or "our").

Data collected within Nota is used solely to:
Incident data and audio recordings are stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. Data transmitted to your organisation's server is sent over HTTPS. We do not operate a central Nota server — your data resides with your organisation.
Nota uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (provided by Google) for push notifications. Firebase may collect device identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy. No other third-party analytics or advertising services are used.
Nota includes a Demo Mode that allows you to explore the app using local sample data only. No data is transmitted to any server during a demo session, and no account is required.
Local data is retained on your device until you log out or uninstall the app. Data stored on your organisation's server is subject to your organisation's own data retention policies.
Nota is intended for use by professionals within an organisation. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
As Nota operates within your organisation's environment, requests to access, correct, or delete your personal data should be directed to your organisation's administrator. For any privacy concerns relating to the Nota application itself, please contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
